The selection process will consist of three phases. In the first phase, the board will conduct a preliminary written test. After that, the qualified candidates will go through the PMT & PET test. All the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Measurement Test (PET) will be called to appear in the Final Written Examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.

WB Police Sub Inspector Admit Card Release Date

The state police recruitment board has released the exam date for WB Police SI Recruitment 2019. The written examination (prelims) will take place on 11 November 2020.

The WB Police SI Admit Cards will be released on 13/11/2020. The postulates will be able to Get the relevant admit card by putting the application registration details. The candidates are advised to visit the board’s website regularly for examination date and further details.

WB Police SI Preliminary Written Test Details

Applicants provisionally considered eligible will have to appear in a Multiple Choice Questions based preliminary written test which is qualifying in nature. The question paper will consist of 100 objective type questions having multiple choice (four choices) of answers carrying one marks each. The duration of these tests will be one hour. The question paper will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali).

Questions of the Preliminary Written Test shall be from the following subjects:-

  1. General Awareness and General Knowledge: 50 Marks
  2. Elementary Mathematics: 30 Marks
  3. Reasoning: 20 Marks

There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. ¼th of the allotted marks for a particular question will be deducted for each wrong answer. West Bengal Police Recruitment Board will decide the prescribed scheme and syllabus for the Preliminary Written Test.

The qualifying marks in the Preliminary Written Test to appear for the next stage will be fixed by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The marks obtained by a candidate in the preliminary written test will not be considered for preparing the final merit list.

WB Police SI Final Written Examination Details

All the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Measurement Test (PET) will be called for the Final Written Examination. The Final Written Examination will have 85 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions (MCQs) carrying equal marks each.

The WB Police SI final written examination will comprise of total 85 marks. The time duration of the examination will be 1 hour. QuestiThe question will be set in two languages (Bengali & Nepali) except questions on the English language.

Questions of the Final Written Examination shall be from the following subjects:-

  1. General Awareness and General Knowledge- 25 Marks
  2. English- 25 Marks
  3. Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard)- 20 Marks
  4. Reasoning and Logical Analysis- 15 Marks

After that, the qualified candidates will be called up for Personal Interview. In the Interview, the general awareness and suitability of the candidate for public service will be tested.

WB Police Admit Card Details – General Instructions

The West Bengal Police Admit Card will consist of all valid details about the candidates printed on it. The admit card will contain the candidate’s name, photograph, Signature, a unique roll number, registration number, exam venue details and exam timings etc printed on it.

The candidates are advised to check the admit card details properly. If any error exists, postulates are advised to contact the authority before the examination to rectify.

In addition, the candidates must bring a photo identity proof along with the admit card print. A valid photo identity card may be Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Voter Identity Card, Driving License, Passport, College Identity Card etc. The candidates without admit card print and photo identity card will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
