In May 2017, the WB Police Recruitment Board has released a notification for the recruitment of Forest Guards in the state. Applications were accepted for filling up 259 vacant posts. The written test for the same was to be conducted in the month of August. But due to heavy rain and flood in North Bengal, the exam date was postponed to 10-09-2017.
