Public Service Commission of West Bengal has conducted the Clerkship Exam on 25 January 2020. The clerkship is conducted to make recruitments of candidates at the posts of Lower Division Clerk, Lower Division Assistant, and similar posts under government departments. The commission will announce the WB Clerk Result 2020 in upcoming months. The online applications for the Clerkship exam were invited in February and March 2019. It took a whole year to the commission to commence the exam. As per the news sources, around 20 lakh candidates have appeared in the clerkship exam. The Clerkship exam is based on class 10. Thus, the commission made this exam as an eligibility test. On the basis of the WB Clerkship results of this exam, recruitments will be announced in various departments for the posts of lower division Clerks and Assistants. To complete the process, the Board has conducted the Preliminary exam on 15 January. Part 2 (Conventional written Test) will be conducted in phase 2.
