    • Men can’t claim women seats but women can claim any seats if she qualifies (based on merit). You guys got 33.33% of reservation. And can claim any other seats.

  1. I think everyone who has calculated or estimated the cut off should present it , so that it will be helpfull to other people.
You ppl can make a list of cutoff like
    Branch
    AE/JE
    GM
    OBC
    SCT

So atleast it will reduce number of individual questions

Also people post your marks and category it will be easy for calculation

    • I just checked ur classification of posts. You are eligible for GM posts of 52+71+11.. I think you have fair chance here.. 140/400 of women is a above par score. Still revised keys is to be published. If your score increases further. Definitely you can see your name in 1:1 list. All the very best.

  2. M b Patil please tell me the document verification process. If my father name in SSLC marks card VISHNU and in BE marks card it’s VUSHNU SHETTY . is there any problem. My marks 183 3b rural category. Is there any problem

    • Actually during revision of the answer keys, an expert committee considers the objections filed by the candidates, expert committee always try to defend their keys rather than accepting the objections even they are correct. In most of the cases, objections that we filed is comprehensively correct , expert panel ignore it n release their keys. This led to injustice to the genuine candidates. Here in this case especially AE CIVIL answer keys, more number of objections have been filed. Few keys to be finalized yet. There is a limit for number of grace is to be awarded n multiple answers (i.e 1 or 2 or 4). Wait for the keys. They are doing their best. Soon you will get it..

  3. @M B Patil. Few months back in news paper it was said that by Dec wrd people would receive joining. But still list is to be prepared and documents are to be verified. In that case can we expect eligibility list this week?

    Reply
    • Not necessarily.. there is no obligation for KPSC to send final selection list within a stipulated time. Acs there will no interview, one can expect provisional selection list in December. Still document verification process has to be done. It takes time. KPSC has pending works since 2015. Even KPSC take it as priority final selection list can be expected in January. Technically joining in 2018(Next Year)..

      • Present technology has made work more easier n faster. KPSC website n it’s maintenance by NIC. National Informatics Centre uses latest software to scanning, evaluation, tabulation and manipulation in a short time. Hardly 4-5 hours required for the system to prepare list in merit cum roster system. So once revised answer keys ready it takes hardly 5 hours. (Remember KAS prelims results).. hope you understand.

    • AE civil cut off:
      GM- 170+
      OBC- 165+
      SC/ST-150+
WOMEN- 20 marks less in your category.
Guys. This is my guess work. I’m not sure. Cut off is subject to number of posts, number of candidates and reservation. It may also come down.

  10. Here is some try at analyzing the cut off score.
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
    1) Part 1

KPSC conducted exam for 125 JE Civil posts in City Corporation recently.
Cut off for this exam is as follows :
    GM – 178
    C1 – 173
    2A – 164
    2B – 177
    3A – 164
    3B – 175
    SC – 164
    ST – 175
This above cut off marks is general people in respective categories.
The cut off is as low as 57 in some category if you have category benefits.
For HK people, cut off marks is around 10 – 15 marks less than the above mentioned cut off marks for general category.

Here’s link if you want detailed Cut off list :
    http://www.kpsc.kar.nic.in/cut%20rpc%20hk.PDF
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
    2)Part 2

KPSC conducted exam for 30 JE Electrical posts in City Corporation recently.
Cut off in this exam increased by 3 to 24 marks maximum in different categories .
The reason is , here only 30 JE Electrical posts compared to above 125 JE Civil posts.
    ie, less seats …….

Here’s link if you want detailed Cut off list :
    http://www.kpsc.kar.nic.in/cutoff%20je%20electrical.PDF
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
    3) Part 3

    Now coming to actual discussion……
KPSC conducted exam for PWD/WRD recenty for 889 posts.

    Number of vacancies :
    Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 527
    Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) : 73
    Junior Engineer (Civil) : 246
    Junior Engineer (Mechanical) : 43

In addition to this KPSC has not yet announced the results of some of the other exams (Mahanagara Palike etc.,). I don’t have the exact number of vacancies for that exam. So, lets assume 100-200 vacancies in that . So, totally around 1000 posts. Many people have written both exams. So, some of them might be filtered out in that. So, more chances………

    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
    Now cut off prediction :
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………
Junior Engineer (Civil) : 246 vacancy.

For 125 posts above (PART 1), cut off was 178 for general.
    Here in WRD 246 posts…….
So, definitely or most probably cut off will be less than 178 marks.
So, lets predict cut off will be around 10-15 marks less.

    So, cut off will be
    General : around 160 marks.
    Category : around 145 – 150 marks.
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………
Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 527 vacancy.

For AE, question paper will be definitely tougher than JE Paper.
In addition to this, 527 vacancies.
So, Cut off will be even lesser.

    So, cut off will be
    General : around 140-145 marks.
    Category : around 130 marks.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………….
Junior Engineer (Mechanical) : 43 vacancy
Here, the number of vacancy is very less compared to civil vacancy.
So, here candidates can expect tough competition similar to PART 2 (Electrical/ JE)

    So, cut off will be
    General : around 180-190 marks.
    Category : around 160-170 marks.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) : 73 vacancy.
Here also, the number of vacancy is very less compared to civil vacancy.
So cut off will be higher. But less than JE Mechanical cut off because of difficulty.

    So, cut off will be
    General : around 160 marks.
    Category : around 140 marks.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………..

    Note :
The above mentioned cut off is for general people in respective categories. For people who have Women/Rural/HK/Kannada/PH etc., benefits, the cut off will be even lesser.

The above marks is predicted based on previous exams. It is just an assumed prediction. Don’t take it seriously. Cut off may be totally different when the results are announced. So, have hope. Also, don’t stick to just a single exam. Keep other options open.

Ultimately, its the quality of applied candidates ,number of people who have applied in respective category and vacancy which decides the cutoff.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
    I have done my prediction.
    Thanks all.
    Sorry everyone.
    All the best to everyone.
    Bye all.

    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Some score 247, but according to his analysis he has 50:50 chance , but others tell the cut off will be around 180, 170. We are here to predict something that has a great effect on our lives.
Please understand Manjesh don’t make a mockery out of it.
I believe in Karma and I am telling you it’s not good to play around other person’s feelings.
There is a anticipation and hope that these candidates in this group. There might be someone’s family he wants to take care, some personal problem for which he needs a job. So please understand Manjesh don’t make this forum a vent for your mental trauma. Please understand.

M B Patil you have been doing a great work. Sharing the info is very important and I salute to your patience and care. I got a lesser marks than your info. But I think it gives me a clear indication that I should prepare for future exams.

    • What you said is right. It’s a Matter of our career. I’m also one of the aspirants as like you guys. But I wrote many exams so far. But I failed to get into the 1:1 list. I reached document verification stage but not in to the final selection list. I’m just giving genuine information according to KPSC, NSP tweets and some internal sources. Still something may go wrong. Anyways all the very best to everyone here. Good luck!!

      • M B patil can please tell me how thy ll alert the seats in particular category? I mean if St/rural candidate has more marks thn St/general ll thy fill him in rural 1st or in general?

        Reply
        • Kindly listen to me, seats will be filled based on merit and roster (reservation if any).
I’ll explain this with an example,
If three candidates have scored 186, 173.5, 159 respectively and among these 186 scored candidate is GM(OTHER) and 173.5 come under OBC, finally 159 falls under SC/ST.
In any case, General seats will be filled up first. That too taking horizontal reservation into consideration, e.g GMR, GMW, GMK, GMPH, GMEX-MP at last GM (other).
Once all GM seats get filled up next turn is to fill category seats. In similar way SCR, SCW,SCK, SCEX-MP, SCG.. this pattern of filling up seats is common to all other reservation seats. If candidates under Ex-MP(or any horizontal reservation) is not available , it will be filled up under Others of that particular category. Hope you understand. I explained it in detail.

          • what MB PATIL telling about alerting seats is totally wrong.. you can find reserved category cutoff more than GM cutoff in many lists of KPSC itself.

          • Thanku @ m b patil It’s the alertment of seats wch makes us in or out! Nobody Ave clear idea regarding this same says catogery 1st same says general merit seat 1st.

    • Results (eligibility list of 1:1) of JE And AE of Civil and Mechanical will be released in next 10 days. Eligibility list is under process. Preparing 1:1 list based on merit n roster is not an easy job. Have patience.

  13. may be around 160 to 170 people and the same are chating in every group evry portal of civil AE and just go through there score it will come down to 140 already for just 160 to 170 people… guys, who crossed 120 will have chance for sure. my guessing. dont think like many of them might not be chating like that. every candidate who thinks he may get selected will search in Google to know the cutoff and he will find a way into any of the portal. this 1700 comments are done by only 150 to 170 people or may round up 200. but the vacancies are more than that.. hope for the best
