KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.

Friends I want to say one thing reservation is s a legal right !!n there in was big protest in BU campus to protect interests of of BC …..n HD kumaraswamy backed by all ministers n state leaders(siddaramiah etc) n natiional leaders(mallikarjun karge)have assured to pass necessary legislation ..so in no way it will be contempt of the court ..even if someone goes to court ..court wud look into both procedure established by law(which is fine) n due process of law (court will look into merits) n not as a contempt proceedings ….so kindly don’t fight here ….if u want to fight ,do it in court ..but it will not be a cake walk …!!all the best .stay focused on prep !!

For GMK cutoff was higher than GmGeneral. According to you despite having higher merit he/she should be placed under GMK only right. Does It seems right to you?. Doesn’t GMK should be able to compete in GM. In states we have lot of horizontal/vertical reservations,u can’t apply Tina dabi case here. N as far as Kumar judgement govt will bring legislation so that it will not be content of any court.If pure GM candidates score higher then they will definitely get post under GM. And more over if a GM CANDIDATE scores less than category guy in mains that means he should be thrown out of the list,is that what u imply.

Currently there have been discussions going rounds regarding reservation procedure followed by KPSC in its recruitment. The direction by the government to KPSC instructing it to follow 2016
HC order in current selection evoked a strong protest with Minister Priyank Kharge shooting a Letter to the Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy to revert to status quo. To understand the issue
one needs to be clear about how KPSC conducts Gazetted Probationers (GP) exam and the procedure it adopts in reservation.
Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts Gazetted Probationers (GP) exam to recruit candidates for various public services under Government of Karnataka. It is held in three
stages viz. Preliminary, Mains (Written Exam) and Interview. Candidates are expected to be Screened at each stage with due regard to their category claimed for reservation.
In (M.R Balaji and Ors v. State of Mysore 1963, AIR 649) Supreme Court prescribed 50% cap on reservations for socially and educationally backward categories.
The Government of Karnataka provides reservation in public employment as below: SC-15%, ST-3%, CAT I – 4%, II
A – 15%, II B – 4%, III A – 4% and III B – 5%. The rest 50% is recruited through open merit.
Only when a reserved category candidate scores enough marks to clear to general merit cut off at Every stage of exam can he/she be considered as general category candidate. In (Deepa EV v. Union of India) 2017 case Supreme Court mentioned ‘there is an express bar for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC who have availed relaxation for being considered for General Category
candidates.’ So far KPSC considered candidates clearing preliminary stage in reserved category with relaxed cut off marks to be general category candidates at Mains (written) exam.
This migration from reserved list to general category list diminishes the classification between general merit candidate and reserved category candidate. This is despite the latter scoring low marks and
having screened in at preliminary stage with relaxed cut off marks vis-à-vis general merit Candidate.
The current KPSC procedure violates the 50% cap in reservation set by Supreme Court and is in Stark contrast with procedure prescribed by courts and government orders. For instance the
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in 2015 All India Civil Services Exam considered the Topper (All India Rank 1) to be SC category and Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT)
in the IAS list placed the topper in SC category despite scoring AIR 1.
This is because the topper had cleared the preliminary stage in SC category (reserved) at relaxed cut off. Had UPSC been
following KPSC quota norms then topper would have been considered at general merit Candidate.
In a 2016 order the High court of Karnataka mentioned the procedure followed by KPSC in Admitting candidates to written exam and the list of candidates called for interview to be flawed and unconstitutional in 1998, 1999 and 2004. Accordingly it asked for revision and
prescribed a procedure for segregation for these batches. However for GP exams conducted in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014 KPSC followed earlier flawed procedure and their final results have
been announced.
As this judgment came during the progress of 2015 GP Exam, KPSC sought clarification from Government of Karnataka for the procedure to be adopted in current selection. The state Government directed KPSC to abide by the HC order and follow the extant Government
reservation rules.
However due to politicization of the issue and the misreading of the judgment, the government has been forced to maintain status quo and thereby follow the flawed procedure again. The HC
judgment comes as an opportunity to correct the flaws and should be seen in right spirit envisaged by Constitution of India. It is high time for KPSC to follow the correct procedure to avoid litigations in future as the current procedure it follows will not stand legal scrutiny in court of law.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಮೀಸಲು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಎಸ್ಸಿ, ಎಸ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಬಿಸಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುದ್ದೆ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಹೊಸ ಮಾನದಂಡ ಮೈತ್ರಿ ಸರಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಗೊಂದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈ ವಿವಾದ ಸೋಮವಾರ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿವೆ.
ಮೀಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿರುವ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ, ಒಬಿಸಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೀಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವರ್ಗದ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೆಪಿಎಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರಕಾರ ನೀಡಿರುವ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ವಿವಾದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ. ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಅಡ್ವೊಕೇಟ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ಕೆಪಿಎಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಈ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸಮಜಾಯಿಷಿ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಚಿವ ಪುಟ್ಟರಂಗಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಸೇರಿ ಕೆಲವು ಸಚಿವರು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸೋಮವಾರ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ವಿವಾದ ಸದ್ದುಮಾಡುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ.
ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಚಿವರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಗಿಬೀಳುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಡ್ತಿ ಮೀಸಲು ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ನೌಕರ ವರ್ಗದ ಹಿತಾಸಕ್ತಿಗಾಗಿ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಕ್ಕಿಳಿದು ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡುವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೀಗ ಮೀಸಲು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಹರಾದವರು ಆಯಾ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಹುದ್ದೆ ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ವಿವಾದಿತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಮಾತಿನ ಚಕಮಕಿ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಕಾರದ ನಿಲುವು ಏನಿರಲಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಎಂ ಎಚ್.ಡಿ.ಕುಮಾರಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಯಾವ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಕುತೂಹಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

1998, 1999 ಮತ್ತು 2004ರ ಸಾಲಿನ ಗೆಜೆಟೆಡ್ ಪ್ರೊಬೆಷನರಿ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ನೇಮಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ 2016ರ ಜೂನ್ 12 ರಂದು ಹೈಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಿದ ತೀರ್ಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ”ಮೀಸಲಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಹರಿರುವ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜನರಲ್ ಮೆರಿಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡುವುದು ಅಸಾಂವಿಧಾನಿಕ. ಸರಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿತ್ತು. ಈ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಸುಪ್ರೀಂಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಕೂಡ ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿದಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2015ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಗೆಜೆಟೆಡ್ ಪ್ರೊಬೆಷನರ್ಸ್ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ನೇಮಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಕೆಪಿಎಸ್ಸಿ ಸರಕಾರದ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಕೇಳಿತ್ತು. ಕೆಪಿಎಸ್ಸಿ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಆರ್.ಆರ್.ಜನ್ನು ಅ.20 ರಂದು ಈ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಪತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಕಾರ ನ.3 ರಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ನೀಡಿ, ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ತೀರ್ಪು ಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ಸರಕಾರದ ಈ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಮಾಜ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮೀಸಲು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ್ಹರಾದ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ, ಒಬಿಸಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮೆರಿಟ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರಲ್ ಪ್ರವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೂ ಸಿಗುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಸಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಈ ತೀರ್ಮಾನ ಕೈಬಿಡುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರು ಸಿಎಂಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದರು.

@chetan only Tamil nadu passed reservation bill under 9th schedule, and yet to SC give final judgement reg this.
Since Karnataka govt decided to follow old rules by ruling out AG feedback, SC decision it becomes contempt of court. So many Aspirants who will not see their name in mains qualify list/final list they will approach high court. Once again this batch will suffer like anything else.
Regarding results it will take more time, bcoz they have to change rules or else of they follow old rules and announced results it will become contempt of Court.
So what chetan saying about this is true. So there will be amendment.

Legislative action can bypass court judgment ..n n number of such cases have happened till date …n to maintain balance btw judiciary n legislature ,court generally doesn’t interfere in it ,if there s no violation of the Constitution …n there s no violation of Constitution coz Constitution itself provides that state can provide for reservation for the welfare of BC …n as far as reservation crossing 50% is concerned, most states provide for horizontal reservation n such laws r already placed under 9th schedule of Constitution !!Also recently even Parliament has tabled the bill to protect the interest of SC n ST ,to overturn the Supreme Court judgement ..so judiciary alone is not powerful ..there s enough measures in the Constitution to find balance btw three arms of the govt !

@anil …see actually yest cabinet has not said to wait till legislative action …it has given time till December for the Chief Secretary to take back the order ..that’s all ..so though results date still not decided …since it’s a status quo ..I feel they will publish results n won’t wait till the legislative process …so kindly relax ..n also even if there s any judicial proceeding ,legislative n judiciary will sort it out …there s no point in we fighting here …nobody in the higher ranks bothers for this …so stay calm n conc on yo prep ..all the best

Why So much confusion. Please go through the judgement properly.
Two lists need to be prepared. One with everyone. Another with reserved category people.
In first list there will be everyone, from both GM n also category.
For example 2000 ppl have to be selected means, 1000 will be from 1st list. So it includes ppl from both GM n category.
Rest 1000 from 2 list with reserved category ppl.
So basically category ppl also can claim GM seats for mains if their score is high.
Again it says meritorious reserved category ppl can claim GM seats also. Means you score more marks u can get posts in GM in final list irrespective of what list u were previously.
Whether each level is connected or separate not sure.
But its not like tina dabi case. Thats for sure.
File is with CM, how can commission decide about results dates?

as per as our karnataka is concerned.. they are like unupdated versions of softwares.. they do work as per their ANCIENT perception.. even if a rule is changed they wont care until it goes to court. till then they will follow their 5th standard abcd book only..
Gist of kumar judgment case.
Kpsc should maintain 2 list I.e meritorious and reserved list in the ratio 50:50 in prelims and interview stage. No migration possible during this state.
In final list you guys will get posts on your merit base. SC, St,obc can also get GM posts if they have scored well.
Each stage I.e prelims,mains, is different no need of comparison here.
TINA DAbi case and Kumar judgement case compare maadodikke agalla.
Tina dabi case Alli prelims category Alli clear maadidre you will be in category in final list too.
But in Kumar judgement case list list maintain maadodu prelims mains Alli mantra, not in final list.

No, It is open category, anybody can compete , all these steps ( 2 lists ) at prelims, mains, intw and Final is to ensure at least 50 % selection of meritorious candidates ( includes Reserved and Unreserved ) in the final list, pls correct me if I am wrong. I didn’t read the complete judgement

Coming to the judgement its not explicitly mentioned in final order whether each stage should be considered independent or dependent so such interpretations ….
According to my understanding you are now a meritorious reserved candidate and you stand a chance to be placed in unreserved list if you have the merit in mains stage and if not you ll be entitled to claim the reservation under SC quota ….
Even I belong to 3a but I have passed the prelims stage in GM quota ,accordingly I should be eligible to claim in both the lists ….

Without knowing rules and clarity how they can callform for exam and all. It should be done before conducting exam and before leaving notification simply studying without getting results and not knowing recruitment procedures. They should be clear about rules before notification. What is this hopeless kind of procedure after exam they are deciding about requrtment rules.

GM kannada medium candidate had to get 184 to make it to the mains where in pure GM cut off was 183 … So GM Kan candidate even after getting more than GM cutoff will be placed in GM kannada …. Subsequently his name will be in the reserved list under Kannada medium category where the number of seats he can fight for are comparatively less in comparison to number of seats in the open quota i.e pure GM ….. this is kind of discrepancy which JJ is talking about

Adana horizontal reservation antha karithare when there are various sub quotas in gm first a candidate who has applied in various sub quotas such as gm rural and Kannada they should be shortlisted there first and then gm unreserved . Various parties had approached Supreme Court in states such as uttarkhand , Gujarat etc seeking clarification regarding this what kpsc following is according to rules prescribed by Supreme Court itself ( regarding horizontal reservation )
There isn’t any flaw to what you claim, horizontal reservation is followed with due diligence & the objectives for which it has been introduced to have opportunity for the specific sections else you are creating reservation within reservation which should not be the case.

Tomorrow there is cabinet meeting, since so many Congress legislators and minister wrote a letter to cm, they may discuss tomorrow and take final decision about reservation issue.
If reservation issue sorted out in tomorrow’s meeting then we may expect result within a week or else it will drag like anything else.
If Congress wants to discuss in winter session then forget about results.
V all aspirants must together go and meet cm and tell our plight so that decision is taken fast.

i think,the process delayed further,when it becomes political issue,obviously the govt succumb to political pressure and takes decision in favour of larger community(sc,st,obcs-85%).Even govt make new rules& withdrawing its previous direction(nov 3 order),the matter will not be settled out easily.it again knocking the court door &the process delayed further(no one predict the time limit). my suggestion is, the aspirants concentrate on upsc and other exams.because,many previous instances witness kpsc playing with aspirants lives.because an aspirants knows the hardships during his/her praparation.here no value for honesty,hard work,only money matters.

If it s a legislative action …then there s not much scope for judicial intervention ..coz states have the mandate to make rules…n it wud not b in contravention with any parliamentary or constitutional mandate

SC,st,obc are eligible to get posts in GM too if they have cleared exam in GM/merit quota. Don’t believe in such political comments it’s delay tactics.
Now each and every Congress backward leaders writing letter to Cm, so they want to discuss in cabinet meeting /coordination committee, now it’s tug of war between both the political parties, si don’t expect results before January..

@justice league the new rule is not as Tina Dabi case as u r predicting.. the govt ordered to follow high court order according g to which there has to b two diff lists …. GM list and reserved list in the ratio of 50:50. ..while preparing interview list. And in final list after interview it will b according to merit. means even if a SC candidate is topper he wl b selected in GM and so on. So no one will b at loss and remember according to this judgement even if a candidate clears prelims in reserved category and if he does well in mains and interview he can b put in GM. The judgement clearly mentioned that in prelims and mains as there is no minimum marks required, only 1: 20 and 1: 5 lists to be prepared so no need to prepare list as per the reservation seats available in notification. The only rule taken into consideration is GM 50 and reserved 50. Only during the preparation of final list after interview where according to reservation system candidates r selected. That’s it
see in final list if a reservd candidadte can go to gm

@public prelims score is definitely a determinant here …. Each stage is dependent and someone uses the category once can never find his place in unreserved list …. This is what the judgement all about …..
Even if a 3a candidate is scoring the highest marks in this recruitment , he is eligible for only 2 posts …..this is the harsh truth

2)since the cabinet committee is going to decide on it there s a lot of pressure from many cabinet minsters to take back the Nov 3 order n mostly necessary legislative procedures will be taken to protect the interests of BC .

Because of this reservation issue, our result may get delayed further, it has become political issue.. When kpsc dysfunction no one come forward to speak up, but regarding reservation everybody will come to further delay the result
Many legislators and leaders of dalit community started protest against govt order regarding reservation policy. Hence government may withdraw it’s order soon..so its become political now.. KPSC on its own can’t take decisions…

Other file I.e reservation file also reached kpsc, but they are not updated in website, moreover everybody knows What AG,dpar recommended to kpsc. Why they doing delaying tactics?
