As we know, the department will not organize any written examination or interview for the selection of candidates for the above-said posts. The India Post GDS Bharti 2020 Selection List will be prepared on basis of the candidate’s academic merit secured in the 10th Standard Exam.
The selection will be done through the automatically generated Merit List based on total applications submitted. If contestants get same marks in the 10th exam, then merit order would be as per DOB (higher age as merit).

Gramin Dak Sevak Merit List will be released within two-three months of the application registration date. GDS category wise merit list will be generated by the post office department on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in 10th Class board exams.
As per the notification, No weightage will be given for higher educational qualifications. However, the candidates who cleared the 10th in the first attempt will be preferred over the one who has completed it after appearing in the compartment exams.
If two applicants are having the same number of marks in 10th exams then the candidate with older age will be selected on the list.
