What is the DRDO CEPTAM 2021 Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus & Prep Strategy?

DRDO CEPTAM is conducted by CEPTAM (Centre for Personnel Talent Management) of DRDO (Defence Research & Development Organisation) every year. The examination is conducted to recruit potential candidates for Administrative, Technical, and allied category non-gazetted faculty.

• The exam has two stages (Tier I & Tier II) for the selection of candidates.
• Applicants willing to apply for DRDO CEPTAM 2021 examination need to ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements specified by the officials.

DRDO CEPTAM 2021 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for DRDO CEPTAM posts, candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria in terms of age, medical, and education.

DRDO CEPTAM Age Limit:

1. The age of an applicant must be 18 to 25 Years.
2. The upper age limit is relaxable for applicants belonging to the following categories:
   1. SC, ST, PWD, OBC, ESM, WIDOWS, Divorced Women, Women judicially separated from their husbands (and not remarried)
   2. Civilian Employees of Central Government
   3. Disabled Defence Services Personnel
   4. Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir state from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 as per extant Government of India Rules.

Educational requirements vary depending on the post for which the candidate is applying. Post-wise educational qualifications required to apply for DRDO CEPTAM 2021 are as mentioned below:

Educational Qualification for Technician ‘A’ Post

Automobile	Should have cleared 10th or equivalent and have a certificate from an ITI in Automobile Trade
Book Binder	Must clear 10th  or equivalent exam and have a certificate from an ITI in Book Binder/ Offset Machine Operator cum Book Binder Trade.
Carpenter	Must have qualified class 10th or equivalent and have a certificate from an ITI in Carpenter Trade
COPA	Completed class 10 or equivalent and have a certificate from an ITI in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) Trade
Draughtsman (Mechanical)	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and have a certificate in Draughtsman (Mechanical) Trade
DTP Operator	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and have a certificate in Desktop Publishing Operator Trade from ITI
Electrician	Should have passed Class 10 and have a certificate from ITI in Electrician/ Wireman/ Electrical Fitter Trade
Fitter	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and must have a certificate from ITI in Fitter/ Bench Fitter Trade
Electronics	Candidates should have passed Class 10 and have a certificate from ITI in Electronics/ Mechanic/ Electronics/ IT & Electronic System Maintenance of Industrial Electronics Trade
Machinist	Should have passed 10th and have a certificate in ITI in Machinist/ Millwright Mechanic/ Machinist (Composite) Trade
Mechanic (Diesel)	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from ITI in Mechanic (Diesel) Trade
Medical Lab Technology	Aspirants should have cleared Class 10 and have a certificate from ITI in Medical Lab Technology Trade
Motor Mechanic	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and have a certificate from ITI in Motor Mechanic Trade
Painter	Aspirants must have cleared Class 10 or equivalent exam and should have a certificate from ITI in Painter Trade
Photograph	Should have cleared Class 10 or equivalent from ITI in Photographer Trade
Turner	Should have passed Class 10 or equivalent and must have a certificate in Turner Trade from ITI

DRDO CEPTAM Medical Standards:

• The aspirants should possess good mental and physical health without any physical deformity, which may result in an inefficient discharge of duties.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to undertake a medical examination as prescribed by the authority before the appointment letter is issued.
• Aspirants who are found unfit will not get an appointment letter.
• For PWD applicants, medical fitness standards will be as per extant Government of India rules.
