Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is recruiting JAOs (Junior Account Officer) in various territorial Circles and functional Circles. The online application submission process was initiated in the month of September-October. Applications were invited from eligible candidates for various 996 posts of JAOs.

The recruitment authority will commence a written competitive exam for the same on 05 November. Therefore, the admit cards for the same will be released in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to get BSNL JAO Admit Card from the official website by using the applicant’s registration number and password (date of birth). The JAO (Junior Accounts Officer) is a Circle-based Cadre and the candidates would be selected against the vacancies of a particular Circle. The candidates are required to serve in that particular Circle until they are promoted to All India Cadre. However, BSNL has the right to post any selected JAO (Junior Accounts Officer) to any of the Circles either temporarily or on the permanent basis. The decision of BSNL in this regard will be final and binding.

BSNL JAO – Selection Process and Nature of Question Paper

The selection of BSNL JAOs (Junior Accounts Officer) will be done through the ONLINE COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS-2017 to be conducted by BSNL from 5th November 2017 as per the syllabus given below.

The selection board will commence an online examination in the first stage. The qualified candidates will be called for the personal interview and further process. The candidates will be intimated through a notification on the official website.

Paper Scheme: There would be two subjects with one subject as under:

Subject-1: General English and General Aptitude/Awareness

Paper-1: General English and General Aptitude/Awareness

1. General English: Short Answer/Objective Type Questions having 100 marks.
2. General Aptitude/Awareness: Objective Type Questions having 50 marks.

(The time duration for this test will be 3 hours.)

Subject-II: Financial & Commercial Accounts

Paper-2: Financial Management/Cost Accounting/Tax and Commercial Laws – 3 hrs. : 300 marks (Objective Type)

1. In the General Aptitude/Awareness Test, the standard of the paper in General Aptitude Test will be such as may be expected of a Post-Graduate.
2. The standard of the paper in Commerce Subjects, Taxation & Commercial Laws will be that of Commerce Post Graduate Degree Examination of an Indian University.
