The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) is going to recruit 173 candidates for the Posts of Stenographer Grade-III & Lower Division Clerk (LDC) under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an autonomous body under Dept. of Agricultural Research & Education, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India.  Online Applications are invited from the eligible candidates from 31/08/2017 to 25/09/2017. Candidates can apply only through online mode for the recruitment.

Update: The ASRB has reopened the Online applications for the candidates. The candidates who could not submit the applications previously can apply till 15 November. The online detail will activate on 16 October 2017.

The ASRB will conduct a computer based competitive examination at various centers across India.  All Interested and eligible candidates who have required skills & qualification in Stenography/Typing as per prescribed standards which are given in official notification or mentioned below in this post can apply Online only.

Note: A candidate can apply for both the posts by submitting separate valid ASRB/ ICAR Stenographer LDC online applications forms along with the prescribed fee for each post separately on the board website. Candidates are advised to read the full official notification carefully before filling up the Online Application Form. ASRB Stenographer Grade-III & Lower Division Clerk Recruitment 2017

Education Qualification: The Applicant must have passed the 12th class or Equivalent from a recognized board or university. Candidates are expected to have essential typing skill for the typing test of the which will be conducted after completion of the written test.

Age Limit: Candidates who are willing to apply for ASRB Recruitment 2017 should have min age 18 years and maximum age 27 years. Age relaxation will be applicable to the eligible candidates as 05 years for SC/ ST category candidates and 03 years for OBC category candidates for ASRB/ ICAR Stenographer/ LDC Vacancy 2017.

Pay Scale :

For Stenographer: PayBand – I, Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400. [Since revised to Level 4 as per 7th CPC]

For Lower Division Clerk: PayBand – I, Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 1900. [Since revised to Level 2 as per 7th CPC]

ASRB Online Exam Fee:

Unreserved (UR) / Other Backward Class (OBC): has to pay 200 rupees in the form of online application processing fee.

Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Divyang/ Ex-Serviceman/ Women candidate are exempted from the examination fee.

ASRB Stenographer/ Lower Division Clerk Selection Procedure: 

The candidates have to appear for the Computer Based Written Test in the first level of the examination. The candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the skilled test. The skill test will be qualifying in nature. The questions in written test shall be comprised of a vast range of topics like General Awareness, Aptitude & Reasoning, Current Affairs, History, Politics Etc.
