The Andhra Pradesh Public service commission will commence the Group 2 Preliminary Exam on 5 May 2019. The AP Group 2 Hall Tickets will be available to get at least 10 days prior to the examination schedule.
The Group 2 Exam will take place as an OMR based test if the total number of application crosses 25000. The main examination will be conducted in July. Only the candidates who declared qualified in Pre exam will get a chance to sit in the main exam.
A notification number 25/2018, Dt.31/12/2018 was published on the official websites and newspapers inviting online applications for the group 2 Vacancies. It’s been 2 years since the last recruitment for group 2 was conducted. In previous recruitment, around 5 Lakh candidates had applied. This time too the board is expecting the same number of applications.
If this happens then definitely the competition will be higher than the previous one.
The total number of vacancies advertised is 446 and out of these 110 posts are being carried forward while 336 are fresh for both executive and non-executive.

After competing the online applications, the board will verify the legitmacy of the applications. If any of the applications has any kind of error or the examination fee could not verified, the board will notify such candidates. These candidates can edit their applications and verify the fee submission by using any legit means allowed by the board.
After revision of the applications, the board will allocate the unique roll numbers and examination centres. And then, the AP PSC Group 2 Hall Tickets will get uploaded on the official website.
The applicants do require to get the AP Group 2 Hall Ticket by visiting the official website of the Board. It is already mentioned that the board won’t send the Hall tickets by Post. Thus, it is necessary for the applicants to get the hall ticket and take a print out properly.
Along with the Hall Tickets, the candidates required to bring a valid photo ID Card in original and a photocopy as well. If any candidate fails to produce any of the two documents, he/she won’t be allowed to enter the examination hall. The candidates should make sure of carrying both Hall Ticket and ID Card to the examination Hall.

The preliminary exam will consist of 150 Questions. The screening exam will be an objective type examination. As per the board’s norms, there would be negative marking and 1/3 marks will get be deducted on each incorrect answer.
